We're Updating Dojo Tutor's Advanced Cancellation Policy ⏰

At Dojo Tutor, we are committed to giving you and your child a tutoring experience you both love—pairing you with certified teachers who meet your needs. As part of our commitment to improving our services, we’re making an important update to our Advanced Class Cancellation Policy.

So, what's changing?

Starting October 1st, 2024, you’ll need to cancel classes at least 24 hours in advance to get a full refund. This means: 

  • If you let us know your child cannot make it to their class 24 hours or more in advance, you can:
    • reschedule the class at no extra cost
    • cancel the class and get a full refund 
  • However, if you cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled class, you will no longer be eligible for a refund
    • You’ll still be able to reschedule the class, but you will have to cover the $30 fee for both the canceled class, and the new one

Why are we doing this?

We get it—life happens, and sometimes you need to make last-minute changes. But here’s the thing: when classes get canceled at the last minute, it throws a wrench in everyone’s plans, especially our tutors who work hard to prepare for each session, and organize their day around scheduled classes. 

By giving a little more notice, you’re helping to create a more consistent, reliable experience for your child's learning. Plus, your tutor will have the time they need to tailor each lesson, making it more engaging and effective. Everyone wins! 

Rescheduling over canceling

Instead of canceling a session, we encourage you to reschedule it. Under this policy, you can reschedule the class at no extra cost if you let us know 24 or more hours before your child’s lesson. 

Rescheduling helps maintain a consistent learning experience for your child, ensuring they don’t miss out on key learning opportunities.

Need Help? We’re Here for You!

To ease the transition into this new policy, for the next 14 days, you can still cancel within the current 4-hour window for any classes that are already scheduled. After that, the new 24-hour policy goes into effect.
