A professional, friendly photo helps create a strong first impression, building trust and showcasing your dedication to your role. It’s a key way to convey approachability, confidence, and professionalism—qualities families look for when selecting someone to support their child’s learning journey.

- You have a Dojo Tutor background
- You have a welcoming facial expression
- You are looking at the camera (or directly ahead of you)
- Watch for the glare in glasses (use overhead lighting)
- You’re dressed professionally, like a tutor.
What to Avoid:
- Car selfies or photos taken in casual, distracting settings.
- Low-quality images, such as blurry or pixelated photos.
- Photos of photos, including snapshots of printed pictures or ID cards.
- Group photos where you’re not clearly identifiable.
- Distracting backgrounds with clutter or poor lighting.
- Cartoons or illustrations should not be used as your profile photo.
A polished, professional photo helps ensure families see you as a confident, approachable tutor ready to help their child succeed.
