Your Profile: Your video hello

Your video introduction is a fantastic way to make your profile stand out and connect with families on a personal level. Tips for a Great Video Introduction

  • Keep it short & sweet – Aim for 30–60 seconds.
  • Plan what to say – Share your name, teaching background, and what excites you about tutoring.
  • Make it timeless – Instead of saying how many years you’ve been teaching, mention when you started. This keeps your video usable year after year.
  • Choose a great setup – Record in a quiet, well-lit space. Look directly at the camera, speak clearly, and smile!
  • Be yourself – Families love seeing your authentic personality, so let your enthusiasm shine.
  • Keep it professional – Dress appropriately and ensure your background is tidy.
  • Focus on the essentials – Introduce yourself, briefly highlight your teaching experience, and share what you love about helping students.
  • Check your setup – Test your lighting, sound, and camera angle to ensure everything looks and sounds great.
  • Make it engaging but general – This video will be shared with many students, so avoid using specific kids’ names.
