We’re excited to share that Dojo Tutor is transitioning from Zoom to Lessonspace, a purpose-built virtual classroom designed specifically for online learning.
This change will help us create a more consistent, secure, and engaging experience for students and families.
What is Lessonspace?
Lessonspace is an all-in-one online teaching platform built for live instruction. It combines video, interactive tools, and classroom features into a single learning space; this way, teachers and learners can focus more on learning and less on managing technology.
Why We’re Making This Change
Moving to Lessonspace allows us to:
Create a more reliable and stable classroom experience
Reduce technical issues caused by switching between tools
Offer built-in learning features designed for tutoring
What This Means for Your Family
âś… No Extra Setup Required
You do not need to download anything or create a new account.
When your child’s class is ready to join their tutoring session, you’ll simply click “Join Class” from your Dojo Tutor dashboard— just like you do today!
🎥 Familiar Core Features
Lessonspace supports the essentials you’re already used to, including:
Live video and audio
Screen sharing
Chat and basic classroom tools
Some features may look a little different than Zoom, but your child’s learning routine will stay the same.
When Will This Happen?
The transition to Lessonspace will roll out gradually in waves, beginning in early January.
Not all families will move at the same time
Until then, classes may continue to take place on Zoom
You don’t need to take any action; we’ll guide you every step of the way.
Will This Affect My Child’s Tutor or Schedule?
No.
Your child will continue working with the same tutor
Class length, schedule, and subject remain unchanged
Tutors are being prepared ahead of time to ensure a smooth transition
