This guide walks you through joining your tutoring session in Lessonspace.
1. Log into your Tutor Dashboard
Go to https://tutor.classdojo.com/, and log in with your email address and password set to your Dojo Tutor account.
2. Find your upcoming class
Upcoming sessions appear in your schedule.
3. Open the Space and prepare for the class
If it's more than 15 minutes before the scheduled start time, you can join the Space to prepare material for the class!
Upload PDFs, presentations, worksheets, or browse through the Resource Library-- make sure everything is readily available for a stellar tutoring session. For more information on the Lessonspace Teaching Tools, check out this article.
Note: Once there are only 15 minutes left before the class's scheduled start time, the Space will close automatically and redirect you back to your Dojo Tutor Dashboard for you to join the class. No worries, though-- all actions taken in the Space are automatically saved.
4. Click "Join class"
To join a class, you must click the "Join class" button, which appears 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
When clicked, a Lessonspace classroom opens in a new tab, allowing you to join the tutoring session and ensuring that your attendance is logged properly.
Your student can join the same way from their parent's Dojo Tutor dashboard.
5. Allow microphone and camera permissions
If prompted, click Allow so you can teach with audio/video.
6. Check your setup
In the bottom menu:
- Select microphone
- Select camera
- Test audio
7. Begin teaching!
Use the whiteboard, tools, and resources to guide your student through the lesson.
