Once your classes are migrated to Lessonspace, you’ll notice a big improvement in how you can prepare for sessions.
What’s new?
You can now enter a student’s Lessonspace at any time, you no longer need to wait until 15 minutes before class starts.
This gives you more flexibility to plan, prep, and feel confident before each session begins.
Think of It This Way 💡
Each Lessonspace is a student’s own virtual classroom.
Every student has their own dedicated space
That space stays the same class after class
Anything you set up there will still be there next time
Whether you open a student’s space today or next week, you’re always entering their classroom.
What You Can Do Inside a Space
When you open a student’s Lessonspace, you can:
Set up whiteboards
Add tabs or pages
Prepare activities or visuals
Organize materials for future sessions
Everything you set up is saved for that specific student and will be waiting for you when class begins.
How to Open a Student’s Space
Log in and go to your Calendar
Find the student you want to prepare for
On the right-hand side, click “Open Space”
The student’s Lessonspace will open in a new tab
Set up anything you’d like—whiteboards, tabs, activities, and more
You can leave the space and return later. Your setup will remain exactly as you left it.
⚠️ Important to Know
There’s one key distinction to keep in mind:
You cannot facilitate the actual class from the “Open Space” button
If you are still inside the space 15 minutes before class starts, you’ll be removed automatically
When it’s time to teach, you must enter using the regular “Join Class” button
This ensures the session launches properly for both you and the student.
