Group Classes Listing Guidelines: Movement Example

About the Movement subject area

Movement classes get learners active through dance, fitness, Zumba, martial arts drills, and other forms of physical activity. Great movement classes make exercise feel like a party, not a workout; building coordination, confidence, and healthy habits through fun, energetic sessions.

Note: Movement classes are about physical activity and body movement, not mindfulness (that’s its own category). If the primary focus is yoga or meditation, it belongs under Mindfulness. If the primary focus is getting kids moving and grooving, it belongs here.

Example Listing

Title: Kids Dance Fiesta: Zumba & World Rhythms

Summary: Learners get moving with high-energy dance routines inspired by Latin, Afrobeat, Bollywood, and pop music, building coordination and confidence while having a blast.

Class Description

Each week, learners learn a fun, easy-to-follow dance routine set to music from a different part of the world. From salsa-inspired steps to Bollywood moves to K-pop grooves, every session is a cardio-packed dance party that feels like recess, not exercise. No dance experience needed; the goal is joy and movement, not perfection. Learners build coordination, rhythm, and body confidence while discovering music and cultures from around the globe.

Session Structure & Pacing

Each session kicks off with a high-energy warm-up and stretch, moves into learning the week’s dance routine step-by-step with the music building as we go, and wraps with a full run-through “performance” and cool-down stretch. I teach on camera, facing the group, and mirror my moves so learners can follow easily.

Materials & Setup

No materials needed, just a clear space to move (roughly the size of a yoga mat), comfortable clothes, and sneakers or bare feet. A water bottle nearby is recommended. No special equipment required.

Tips for Families

Who would this class be great for? This class is for any kid who loves to move! Whether your child is a natural dancer or has two left feet, the routines are designed to be accessible and fun for all levels. Kids with extra energy who need a positive outlet will especially love this. No dance experience required.

Parent guidance: This class is active; learners will be jumping, spinning, and grooving the whole time, so a clear and safe space is important. Younger learners (grades K–1) may enjoy having a parent dance along! It’s a great way to sneak in physical activity, especially on days when getting outside isn’t an option.
