Whether it’s at school pickup, in the parent group chat, or over coffee with a friend, you’ve probably shared your experience or answered a question like “Where are your kids getting tutoring?” more than once.

Now, when you tell another parent about Dojo Tutor, we’ll thank you for it: a free class for both of you! 🎉

Here’s the short and sweet version:

1. You share Dojo Tutor with another parent
2. They get a completely free class
3. If they subscribe, you get a free class too!

It’s a simple way to help friends and family access high-quality tutoring, and earn rewards while you’re at it.

🤝 What You and Your Friends Will Get

For Your Friend (The Person You Refer):

• 1 free class, no strings attached
• Online sessions for their child with a real tutor—either through personalized 1-on-1 tutoring or small-group classes.
• A chance to try out Dojo Tutor with their family! 

For You (The Referring Parent):

• One free class is added to your account after your friend subscribes to weekly tutoring sessions and completes their first paid class. Note: Trial classes do not count.
• Applies directly to your next invoice, reducing your cost for the week

For example, you refer your friend Alex. They book a free trial class, love it, and subscribe. After their first paid subscription session, your next class is on us!

📢 How to Refer a Friend

It’s easy to share the love:

1. Look for the “Get free classes” modal, found in your Parent Dashboard, right below your upcoming classes.
2. Copy your unique referral link. You can send it via text, email, or even drop it in your school’s parent group chat. 
3. Your friend clicks the link and signs up. Their free class will be applied automatically after signing up!

🧠 Common Questions

Who can I refer?

Any parent who hasn’t tried or subscribed to Dojo Tutor yet. If they’ve never completed a tutoring subscription class and don’t have an upcoming trial, they’re eligible!

When do I get my free class?

As soon as your referred friend subscribes and completes their first paid subscription class, we’ll automatically credit a free class to your account. You’ll see it reflected in your next invoice.

What if I’m not currently subscribed?

No problem! If you have a free class reward sitting on your account, it will be applied as soon as you start or resume a subscription.

Can I refer Dojo Tutor to more than one person?

Yes— the more, the merrier! You’ll earn a free class each time one of your referrals completes their first paid session.

What if my friend cancels or doesn’t subscribe?

That’s okay— they’ll still have had the chance to try us out, and you can always invite someone else!

Referral Program Terms

By referring friends to our tutoring program, you can earn referral rewards, such as a free class or class credits,  when your referral subscribes and their child attends their first session.

• This Referral Program (“Program”) is open to all current users of Dojo Tutor.
• Referrers must be in good standing with no outstanding balances.

How it works

• Share your unique referral link with friends who have never signed up for a subscription to Dojo Tutor.
• Your friend will receive a referral reward to use on their first class with Dojo Tutor
• You will earn a referral award  after the referred friend completes all of the following:
  1. Signs up using your referral link/code;
  2. Subscribes to a paid tutoring plan (not counting any trial or free classes);
  3. Pays the subscription fee in full; and
  4. Attends their first paid class

Reward Details

• The referral reward may include free classes or account credits that can be used for free or discounted classes. You and your friend may have different rewards.
• Referral rewards credits cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred, or combined with other promotions unless explicitly stated.

Limitations

• You become eligible to refer others and earn referral rewards only after you’ve successfully scheduled your own class.
• Only one reward per referred user.
• You will receive one free class per successful referral.
• The referred user must be a new user who has not previously paid for a subscription with Dojo Tutor.
• We reserve the right to withhold or revoke rewards if we detect or suspect fraudulent activity, self-referrals, or violations of these terms.
• Dojo Tutor reserves the right to modify or terminate this Program at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on our website.
