Chats makes it easy to communicate directly with your tutor between tutoring sessions. You can use Chats to ask questions, follow up after a session, and stay connected with your tutor.
Chats replaces Class Notes and is available on web, iOS, and Android.
What is Chats?
Chats is Dojo Tutor's messaging tool for families and tutors.
You'll have a separate conversation with each tutor your child works with, where you can send messages and view your conversation history in one place.
You can use Chats to:
- Ask your tutor a question
- Follow up about a recent session
- Share helpful information with your tutor
- Keep in touch between sessions
- View previous messages and attachments
Keep in mind that tutors may not be available to respond right away. Your tutor may let you know when you can typically expect a response.
How do I message my tutor?
You can access Chats from your Dojo Tutor account on web, iOS, or Android.
Once Chats is available, you'll see a conversation with your tutor. Open the conversation to view your message history or send a new message.
There's nothing you need to set up before you start using Chats.
What happened to Class Notes?
Chats replaces Class Notes as the way families and tutors communicate between sessions.
When Chats launches, your previous Class Notes history will move to Chats automatically, including previous messages and attachments. You don't need to do anything to transfer them.
If you're having trouble finding a previous Note or attachment, please contact our Support team.
What about Group Classes?
Chats for Group Classes won't be available at launch.
For now, Chats supports conversations between families and tutors outside of Group Classes. We're working on bringing Chats to Group Classes in a future update.
We'll share more information when this becomes available.
