We’re excited to introduce Dojo Tutor’s new AI chatbot, designed to help you get answers faster and with greater clarity.

It's here to support you by making it easier to find accurate, up-to-date information about tutoring with Dojo Tutor. Whether you have questions about policies, expectations, or best practices, our AI support is an excellent first place to go.



 


 



 

What our bot can help you with

This is a knowledge assistant, trained on:

  • Onboarding materials
  • Dojo Tutor policies and guidelines
  • Help Center articles
  • The same internal knowledge and expertise used by our human support team

This means it can help answer questions like:

  • “What should I do if a student doesn’t show up?”
  • “What are the expectations around session timing?”
  • “How can I troubleshoot audio and video in Lessonspace?”
  • “What are best practices for managing student engagement?”

It provides accurate, consistent answers based on the most current Dojo Tutor guidance, so you can move forward with confidence.

What it cannot do

This is not human support, and it cannot take actions on your behalf.

For example, it cannot:

  • Modify schedules
  • Adjust your trial settings
  • Reach out to families for you 

However, our bot can escalate issues to our human Help Desk when needed, ensuring you get the right support for situations that require direct intervention.

Our bot should be your first stop for questions

We strongly recommend checking with chat before reaching out to our human help desk or posting in the Facebook Tutor Community.

This is often the fastest way to get answers to:

  • Policy questions
  • Platform guidance
  • Expectations and best practices
  • Common troubleshooting questions

While the Facebook community is a great space for connection and shared experiences, it can sometimes become crowded with questions about policies or guidelines. Our bot is now fully equipped to answer those questions quickly and reliably.

Tips for getting the best help

To help our bot give you the most accurate and helpful response:

Use clear, complete sentences

  • Good: “What should I do if my student is more than 10 minutes late?”
  • Less helpful: “student late.”

Provide relevant context when possible

  • Include details like student name, date/timing, session type, or what you’re trying to do

Use “urgent” only when something is truly urgent

  • This helps ensure real urgent situations are escalated appropriately
  • Make sure to be explicit in your request: If you absolutely need to get routed to our human support, just tell the chatbot and it’ll skip the small talk! 

Our bot connects you to human support when needed

If our bot determines that your situation requires human assistance, it can escalate your case directly to our Help Desk. You don’t need to start over, the bot helps ensure a smooth handoff.
