Introducing Dojo Tutor to your schools
Many of you already know principals, teachers, and district staff who care about their kids. If you believe in what Dojo Tutor does, you're welcome to share it with them. This guide makes that easy. It's yours to use however you’d like.
How it works
- Think of a school, principal, or district admin whose students could use tutoring.
- Feel free to reach out to them in your own words. There's an email template below to get you started, but make it sound like you. If you’d prefer for us to reach out directly, you can submit that information via this form.
- If your contact gets back to you and wants to learn more, you can loop us in or send them our way by emailing Sreekar Jasthi (sreekar.jasthi@classdojo.com), who works with school districts to implement Dojo Tutor.
- We'll take it from there and keep you in the loop. There may also be a Mojo plushie in your mailbox soon afterwards. 👀
An email template to make your own
Below is a simple email to help you get started. Make it your own by replacing the highlighted sections, rewording it to fit your style, or personalizing it however you’d like.
Subject: A tutoring option to consider
Hi [name],
I wanted to let you know about Dojo Tutor from ClassDojo. [One line on your connection, e.g., "I tutor kids in reading and math" or "I've used ClassDojo in my classroom for years."]
I wanted to share it because I've seen how much it helps kids. Dojo Tutor offers live, 1-on-1 and small-group tutoring with certified teachers. They also work directly with schools and districts to implement virtual high-impact tutoring. Just thought to share in case it could be a fit at [school / district name].
Happy to connect you with someone on the Dojo Tutor team if you'd like to learn more!
Thanks,
[Your name]
Make it yours. Change any wording you’d like, add why you care, keep it brief. The best intros sound like you. If they have any questions or want more details, refer them to Sreekar Jasthi: sreekar.jasthi@classdojo.com.
FAQs
What happens if they're interested?
Connect them with us by sending an email to sreekar.jasthi@classdojo.com, who runs our school and district tutoring programs, or share their contact information directly with us, and our team will follow up to talk through options.
Do I get paid or rewarded for this?
We can't offer payment or rewards for these types of referrals, but we want to make it easy for tutors who already love Dojo Tutor to share it with schools or districts they know.
Why should schools or districts care?
As a tutor, you know better than anyone the impact that tutoring from a high-quality educator can have on a student. We’ve seen great results with some of the early programs we’ve run with schools and districts. For example:
- 85% of students at Ortega Elementary who attended Dojo Tutor classes improved their iReady scores
- Craven County Schools provided multilingual and refugee students with Dojo Tutor sessions. The district reported stronger confidence, skills, and connection across every participating student.
We’d like to bring that impact to many more students who need it.
Do I need permission to reach out?
No. If you'd like to tell your principal or someone at your district about Dojo Tutor, go for it.
How should I reach out?
Whatever way feels true to you. The template above is a starting point, not a script. If you’d like us to handle it, feel free to submit info in the form and we’ll reach out and keep you in the loop.
What if the school already uses ClassDojo?
Even better! Dojo Tutor is a separate service, but an existing ClassDojo relationship is a great door-opener.
Who can I ask if I have questions?
You can email Sreekar Jasthi (sreekar.jasthi@classdojo.com).
